Our financial position

NHS Cambridgeshire looks set to deliver a small financial surplus for 20010/11.

NHS Cambridgeshire’s financial position is looking to deliver an overall underspend of £0.5 million based on the half year actual position.  The PCT must ensure the delivery of its £30m savings schemes to achieve this underspend and to impact future years spending patterns.

This position does not take into account the PCT’s historic debt, which was £26m at the start of this financial year. There is an agreed recovery plan with the East of England Strategic Health Authority for this debt and the PCT is currently on track to repay a further £9m this year.

Assuming the current revenue position is maintained this will result in a carry forward debt of £17m for 2011/12.
