A new public health campaign, Be Clear on Cancer, is underway to raise awareness of the symptoms of the some of the most common cancers, such as breast and lung cancer, amongst men and women aged 50 and over in the Anglia region.
The aim of the campaign is to improve cancer survival rates in Anglia by encouraging people to go to their GP earlier if they think they may be suffering from any of the cancer symptoms, leading to earlier diagnosis and treatment.
The Be Clear on Cancer campaign will be coming to Cambridgeshire in August with visits to the Little Gransden Air and Vintage Vehicle Show on the 28th August and the St Ives Music and Arts Festival on 29th August.
The campaign is being run by NHS Anglia Cancer Network (www.angliacancernetwork.nhs.uk)
in collaboration with Primary Care Trusts in the region: NHS Bedfordshire, NHS Peterborough, NHS Cambridgeshire, NHS Norfolk, NHS Great Yarmouth and Waveney and NHS Suffolk.
The campaign is running from May to September. For more information please contact enquiries@angliacancernetwork.nhs.uk
