Self-care

Self Care

A range of common illnesses and complaints, such as coughs and colds, sore throats, upset stomachs, and aches and pains can be treated with a well stocked medicine cabinet and plenty of rest.

When and why?

Self-care is the best choice to treat very minor illnesses, ailments and injuries which strike you down at any time.

Essential information:

Ensure your medicine cabinet is well stocked with:

  • Paracetamol or aspirin

  • Anti-diarrhoeal medicine

  • Re-hydration mixture

  • Indigestion remedies

  • A thermometer

Don't forget! You can speak to your pharmacist for advice on the correct medicines to use or go online

Choosing well ensures you receive the rest and recovery you need, leaving busy NHS services to help those who need them most.
